Dionne Gordon-Starks has been a professional advisor within the field of higher education for over 16 years. Her background in career and academic advising has helped her shape a very holistic approach to the field of advising. She has special interests in student engagement and the retention of first generation and cultural minorities in STEM. She holds membership in the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) and has been published in both NACADA Academic Advising Today Magazine (August 2015) and at the ASEE First-Year Engineering Conference (July 2019). Dionne holds a Master of Science in Higher Education with a concentration in student development from Drexel University and is also a proud alumna from Saint Joseph’s University.
