Program Development Overview

The Office of International Programs is committed to supporting faculty, students, and staff in creating new international opportunities, such as international experiences and study abroad programs. Developing these international experiences and study abroad programs requires careful planning and time. Creating an International Experience

International experiences are non-credit bearing travels abroad that are relevant to the participant's academic or professional career. Examples of qualifying experiences include, but are not limited to, international research, international service trips, visits to Drexel partner institutions or partnership development visits.

Developing a Study Abroad Program

Drexel provides several diverse opportunities for study abroad, including Free Standing programs, Exchange programs, and Intensive Courses Abroad (ICAs). Health, Safety, and Security Considerations

Safety and security assessment are integral parts of international program development. Before sending students or faculty abroad, information about health, safety, and security are collected to help prepare for any incident that may occur during their travels.
