The Global Engagement Scholar (GES) program offers a great opportunity to students who are interested in becoming globally minded citizens. The program provides students with the necessary structure to document and connect a wide variety of global experiences during their time at Drexel University.
The Dornsife Global Development Scholars program is Drexel’s newest, fully funded, hands-on international opportunity. This program is based on a mentorship model that allows students of all majors and educational levels to work alongside our World Vision International partners on development projects related to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) including: health education, change management, social marketing, community engagement, monitoring and evaluation, economic development, and a host of other areas related to promoting and improving health outcomes in Africa.
Global Classrooms are courses that engage Drexel students with students at one of our partner universities abroad through a range of interactive technologies.
The Mandela Washington Fellowship, the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), empowers young African leaders through academic coursework, leadership training, mentoring, networking, professional opportunities and local community engagement. The Office of Global Engagement and Education Abroad works in partnership with other Drexel units to host the fellowship, funded by the U.S. Department of State.
