Janice K. Marini
Vice Provost for Global Engagement
As Vice Provost for Global Engagement for Drexel University, Janice K. (Jake) Marini is responsible for identifying and developing academic and research collaborations to drive Drexel’s global strategy. The Office of Global Engagement manages relationships for nearly 200 institutional partners worldwide, with an emphasis on broadening international education experiences for students and staff. Jake came to Drexel in 2018 as Vice President and University Secretary in the Office of the President. Before Drexel, Jake served as Chief of Staff to the President and Vice President for University Affairs at Thomas Jefferson University. She developed Jefferson’s regional and international academic partnerships, and managed core university functions such as registrar, space planning, international affairs and financial aid. Prior to these positions, Jake served as Executive Director for Special Events in the University of Pennsylvania’s President’s Office; the Head of Cultivation and Events for the Royal Shakespeare Company (UK); and Alumni Relations Manager for St. Edmund Hall, Oxford University (UK). Jake is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a Fellow of Bryn Mawr College’s Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute. She is also a Jeopardy champion.
