Daniel Kampsen is the Director of Global Safety and Operations at Drexel University. His work focuses on the management and mitigation of risk for all travelers at the University, including incident response, site vetting, strategy, policy development, and education of travelers. He has worked in international education for 10 years in roles focusing on global health and safety, study abroad advising, program development, and program management. He is an active member of the NAFSA Heath and Safety subcommittee and presents regularly in the area of legal duty of care requirements at NAFSA, The Forum, and EducationUSA conferences. Prior to his career in international education, Dan was both a practicing attorney in Ohio and Fulbright Scholar in Poland. He holds the following degrees: B.A. in Political Science from Hope College, M.S. In Management from Boston University, M.Ed. from Ohio University, and a Juris Doctor from the Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
