Fashion played a vital role in the novelty-crazed decade following the First World War. Many women rejected traditional standards of dress and behavior in favor of modern styles such as bobbed hair, short skirts, and lipstick. Successful designers, retailers, and manufacturers recognized this important societal shift and offered a wide assortment of couture, ready-to-wear, and sportswear to their increasingly fashion conscious clientele. 

Join Clare Sauro, Director and Chief Curator of the Robert and Penny Fox Historic Costume Collection at Drexel University, for a lively and informative exploration of the glamorous and liberating fashions of the 1920s.  This event is at The Sigal Museum (342 Northampton Street) in Easton, Pa.
