Electrical Engineering, Concentration: Electrophysics PhD Candidate

I am a first year PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. I received my BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel in Spring of 2013. I have been working for the past 2 years in Dr. Gary Friedman's lab studying the effects of electric fields on biological cells. My research focuses on the fundamental mechanisms of interaction which facilitate electric field phenomenon in cellular systems. My primary interest is to develop ways to focus electromagnetic field phenomenon such as electroporation, electropermeabilization, and electrical stimulation onto specifically targeted cells and tissues in order to develop new methods of disease treatment. My primary passions are science, teaching, and art, and my life is the combination of all three.
