Michael Ghidiu received his B.S. in chemistry from the University of Delaware and is currently a 2nd year PhD candidate in Materials Science and Engineering, working with Drs. Michel Barsoum and Yury Gogotsi on MXenes, an exciting family of novel two-dimensional materials with potential applications from drug delivery to next-generation supercapacitors. He is interested in gaining better understanding and control of their production and interactions with water.
