Fulbright Student Scholar to China 2010-11

Business Administration Finance BSBA, 2010

Receiving the Fulbright Scholarship was one of the proudest moments of my academic career. The application process was a learning experience in-and-of-itself as I had to think very hard about what I wanted to do after graduation and where my true passions lied. I am going to be conducting my research in Chengdu, China studying interest rate policies that would allow microfinance to be an effective poverty-alleviation tool in Southwestern China. I plan to use what I will learn from the Fulbright experience to help me in my career working in the Foreign Service or an international NGO in the field of economic development policy.
