National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow (GRFP) 2014-17

BS Sustainable Materials and Design '14, Honors

I am currently completing the last term of my undergraduate education at Drexel University with a custom designed major in Sustainable Materials and Design. By completing my co-op at the Shima Seiki Haute Technology Lab during my junior year, I began my research and involvement in the development of smart textiles and garment devices. Working in this lab has allowed me to pursue my interests in both science and design, and prepared me for the transition into engineering. As I move into my graduate studies in Materials Science and Engineering, I am grateful to have been selected as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, as this will allow me to continue to pursue this interdisciplinary method of research.

Faculty mentors: Undergrad - Diana Nicholas and Genevieve Dion.  For my graduate studies they will be Genevieve Dion and Caroline Schauer.
