The Whitaker International Program is designated to foster international connections in biomedical engineering. The program sends young U.S. based biomedical engineers around the world to study, complete an internship or conduct research on biomedical engineering, thus building international bridges and providing unique experiences to future leaders in the field.
The Whitaker International Program offers two different programs:
Graduating seniors, recent graduates, and current graduate students are eligible for the Whitaker Fellows Program. Applicants design their own study/research projects that are typically an academic year in length.
The Summer Grants Program provides funding to pursue a summer (8 weeks) of high-quality research, internship in an industry setting or coursework relevant to their field of focus in biomedical engineering (BME) for current graduate students or recent M.S. graduates from a U.S. institution in Bioengineering or Biomedical Engineering.
