Clean-up Event
Please join United By Blue for a fun-filled Community Cleanup Event by volunteering to clean up your local waterway. The focus of the day will be cleaning up litter and debris from the shoreline of Philadelphia's own FDR Park. This could include the removal of items as large as tires and abandoned household furniture to as small as pesky microplastics and snack packaging; all cleaned up with the overarching goal of stopping it from leaching into or physically entering the watershed, which in this case, includes both of the Philadelphia's rivers: the Delaware River and the Schuylkill River!

United By Blue is a sustainable lifestyle brand with a one-for-one mission to clean our worlds blue spaces and keep them clean for future generations to come. This means for every one item we sell, we vow to remove one pound of trash from an ocean, coastline, or waterway -- with a whopping 4 million pounds (and counting!) removed to-date.

This waterway clean-up event is in partnership with the Philadelphia Water Department, Friends of FDR Park, Independence Blue Cross, and The Academy of Natural Sciences in their own efforts to support the growing need for environmental preservation and restoration through community engagement.

All clean-up participants will receive a sustainably made gift and complimentary heavy snacks at the clean-up as a thanks for their volunteerism.
