Building a Better Future for Families in Need

“When I was in high school, I volunteered with an organization called Appalachia Service Project. For a week in the summer, volunteers would travel to work on a family's home that was in need of repairs. After working on these sites and interacting with the families, I realized I wanted to pursue a career in the construction to continue to make positive impacts on people's lives. I found that there was a specific major for this, Construction Management, and decided that was the best choice for me.”

Invested in Your Success

“One of the main reasons I chose Drexel was because of the co-op program. No other school I was interested in was as dedicated to helping students develop and prepare for their careers. I was also attracted to Drexel because of the Construction Management program. After meeting with the program Advisor and Director, I realized that they developed a sense of family within the program, which made it stand out. All of the professors knew all the students and wanted each student to excel.”

Getting Involved

“Throughout my years at Drexel, I’ve participated in the Associated Schools for Construction Region 1 Commercial Competition, served on the Executive Board and as the President for the Drexel University Construction Association, served as a Council Member for the Student Philanthropy Council, worked as a Student Liaison for the Construction Management Advisory Council, joined the Delta Zeta Sorority, was inducted in the Sigma Lambda Chi Construction Honors Society, and worked part-time as a lifeguard at the DAC.”

Co-Op to Career

“After graduation, I will be working with for my third co-op employer in the commercial construction sector. In the future, I would like to become a Superintendent and manage my own projects.”
