The MEM department congratulates Harry Kwatny, PhD, S. Herbert Raynes Distinguished Chair Professor in Mechanical Engineering, on completing 50 years of service at Drexel. He has been with Drexel since 1963.
Harry Kwatny, PhD, is a life Fellow of IEEE who has published 1 book, 2 software packages and over 200 papers. He has graduated over 20 PhD students. Kwatny, PhD, has been an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions of Automatic Control and also Automatica - the premier publication of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC). He was founding Chairman of the IEEE Automatic Control Society Technical Committee on Energy and Power Systems, and is a member of the IFAC Committee on Power Plants and Power Systems.
