The graduate program in materials science and engineering engages students in research at the forefront of materials for energy, nanotechnology, biomaterials, electronic materials, soft materials, nuclear materials science, and advanced materials design and processing.
The PhD program is offered on a full-time basis, and the MS program is offered on both a full- and part-time basis. A complete list of graduate level courses can be found in the course catalog.
Drexel's Department of Materials Science and Engineering graduate program is 27th in the U.S. News & World Report national rankings, and the PhD program is ranked 11th out of 88 materials programs in the United States according to the National Research Council (NRC) S-Rankings.
