The graduate minor in Nonprofit Management: Public, Professional & Social Sectors complements what you are learning in your chosen field by adding skills in strategic planning, communication, fund development, stewardship, and campaign management—all of which are essential tools needed to effectively carry out and lead a nonprofits' mission. Whether you are studying health, business, law, entrepreneurship communication, education or data science, understanding the fundamentals of nonprofit management can help you lead in your industry.

The graduate minor in Professional Studies offers you a well-rounded course sequence designed to provide highly valued skills such as writing, communication, negotiation, ethics and critical thinking to complement a wide variety of graduate degrees and careers. Upon completion of the graduate minor in Professional Studies, you are prepared to communicate effectively using oral, written, and nonverbal communication skills that can help you relate to, collaborate with, and lead others in the workplace. You also develop a moral and ethical framework from which to effect change through productive communication, acts of negotiation and strategic thinking
