Join your Drexel classmates at the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering annual event!
This is an exciting opportunity to witness the University’s vast changes since your days as a student, reconnect with faculty and former classmates, and meet the graduating Class of 2019. Open to all alumni, this year we’ll celebrate the milestone reunions of the Classes of 1998, 2003, 2008 and 2013.
The event kicks off with a social hour followed by guided tours of the campus and laboratories. The festivities will then conclude with a sit-down reception featuring a keynote lecture by Dr. Joshua Snyder, CBE professor and alumnus.
About the Keynote Speaker: Dr. Joshua Snyder
Joshua D. Snyder is an assistant professor in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department at Drexel University. He received his BS/MS in chemical and biological engineering from Drexel in 2006 and a PhD in chemical and biomolecular engineering at Johns Hopkins University in 2012.
At Drexel, Snyder’s research focuses on improving the efficiency of electrochemical energy storage and conversion devices, fuel cells and electrolyzers, through the development of unique electrocatalytic nanomaterials. Working with industrial collaborators including 3M and General Motors, Snyder’s group uses a fundamental materials approach to identify the atomic processes that limit the activity and durability of electrocatalysts, which directly correlate to device performance and lifetime. Snyder has authored more than 25 peer reviewed publications and has been issued three patents.
