The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Drexel University welcomes applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position with a demonstrated record of excellence as part of a cluster hire in the College of Engineering. Aligned with the Drexel University 2030 strategic plan, the College of Engineering's cluster hire aims at strengthening Drexel's identified areas of excellence. Candidates with any research area related to the College of Engineering’s cluster hire themes of Energy and Sustainability; Smart, Integrated Cities; and Health, Wellness, and Medicine will be considered.
We seek candidates who can establish a dynamic collaborative materials research program and contribute to the development and delivery of a learner-centered, agile curriculum. We encourage candidates from historically under-served groups to apply. We will prioritize candidates who demonstrate the potential for collaborating within the department, the college, and other colleges at Drexel University. Exceptional candidates without or with limited postdoctoral experience are also encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
The applicant must have a PhD in Engineering or a related field by the September 1, 2024 start date. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of and commitment to scholarly achievement and excellence.
