The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Drexel University seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The College of Engineering is undergoing a faculty cluster hire as part of its strategic plan in the areas of renewable energy and power; health, wellness, and medicine; smart, integrated cities; and resource stewardship and sustainability. Primary consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in robotics and automation in the context of smart, integrated cities, although excellent ECE candidates in other interdisciplinary and cross-cutting areas related to the above themes are also encouraged to apply.
We seek candidates who can establish a dynamic ECE research program along with the potential to collaborate on current programs within the department, such as machine learning, biomedical imaging, medical robotics, and the Internet of Things. Candidates must have a PhD degree in a related field by the September 1, 2022 start date, with outstanding academic and/or industrial credentials. Exceptional candidates without or with limited postdoctoral experience will also be considered. Full applications should include a curriculum vitae, a two-page statement of teaching experience and interests, a two-page research proposal, and a list of at least three references.
