International Gateway Program

Intercultural Community Bridge

Community Bridge connects Gateway students to Drexel University faculty and staff, matriculated Drexel students, and members of the Philadelphia community. The goal of the program is to foster intercultural competence and appreciation within the Drexel and Philadelphia communities.

Benefits of Community Bridge

  • Develop an instant support group of friends who can help you.
  • Learn about other cultures and languages.
  • Explore Philadelphia with new friends.
  • Add this program to your résumé or college/grad school applications.

Participants earn a Community Bridge Certificate for participating in the program.

Requirements

  • Meet with your Community Bridge Family once a month.
  • Attend all meetings.
  • Participate in the final banquet.
  • Check your Drexel email every day.
  • Participate in planning monthly meetings.

Additional requirements for Gateway students:

  • 6 Blog Posts
  • 1 Final Project due in May
