Common Exams on Fall Schedules - Tips for New Students

September 18, 2015

If you are a first-time undergraduate student starting in the fall, you may have noticed on your term schedule periods marked off for EXAM 080.  Exam 080 indicates you are registered for a common exam period.

The common exam is a period of time that is reserved for examinations, typically for freshmen, sophomore and pre-junior level courses.

Please note that even though the Exam 080 allocated time will appear on your schedule as occurring each week of the term, you will only have to attend this time period when notified by your instructor that an upcoming exam is scheduled for the course.
