To be considered for the Drexel Dornsife Masters of Public Health program, students should have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or an equivalent international institution. Graduates of any major may apply, however, a previous course in statistics is highly recommended. A GPA of at least 3.0 is preferred.
No GRE: Applications for the MPH program do not require the GRE.

The Drexel Dornsife MPH program offers a flexible curriculum for recent bachelor's graduates, working professionals, and career-changers seeking to make a difference.
With a curriculum that encourages problem solving and research, the MPH program equips students with the skills to address complex population health issues.
After completing foundational coursework, all students complete an Applied Practical Experience — a hands-on practicum within a public health practice setting, alongside one of our community partners in the form of an internship or a project.
Towards the end of their MPH program, students engage in an Integrative Learning Experience (ILE) — a real-world research or practice challenge that gives students the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills from their program.
Whether it’s designing new initiatives to support maternal health, evaluating a program that addresses opioid addiction, or developing resources to help communities recover from a natural disaster, MPH students gain comprehensive experience that prepares them for their career in public health.

Navigating the politics of public health: Garrett Devenney, MPH '18
Garrett Devenney once planned to be a physician, but he changed his priorities after realizing that "crafting culturally-relevant policy can be truly transformational for community health.”
Devenney was one of a select group of Dornsife students awarded the David A. Winston Health Policy Fellowship, giving him the opportunity to work with leaders in public health policy from all over the nation.
Today he is working as a Chief of Staff of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
