Accelerated Degree Programs

The Dornsife School of Public Health offers accelerated degrees for highly talented undergraduate students interested in fast-tracking their careers in public health.

Accelerated 4 + 1 degrees is offered with the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Public Health.

Accelerated degrees allow students to complete both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in a condensed timeframe, and at a reduced cost.

Bachelors/Master of Public Health (MPH)

The accelerated Bachelors/Master of Public Health allows undergraduates to complete both bachelor’s and master’s degree in five years.

Students are able to gain admission to the program through two avenues.

First, they may apply directly into the program on the Drexel University common application.

Alternatively, if a student is denied this route or does not apply directly on the common application, a student may be evaluated for the Bachelors/MPH program at the end of the freshman year or first quarter of the sophomore year. If a prospective students meets all the necessary requirements and has room in his/her academic schedule, they will be a candidate to apply to the program in their junior year. GRE test scores are not a requirement of the application.

Accelerated students will begin taking graduate courses during their senior year. During the hybrid senior year, students maintain undergraduate status in which their undergraduate scholarships and financial aid apply toward all courses.

Accelerated students are eligible to receive merit-based scholarships during the graduate year.
