NOTICE: As of Dec. 14, 2022, the Drexel Health Checker has transitioned to a new web-based portal, and the Health Checker App and the old web portal have ceased operation. Drexel students and employees should use the new Drexel Health Checker to schedule a COVID test, receive test results, report an outside test result, and upload proof of COVID vaccination or booster. Other functions of the old Health Checker are no longer required for Drexel community members. All your existing information from the older Health Checker app/web app has been securely transitioned to the new Drexel web-based platform.
The Drexel Health Checker allows community members to schedule a COVID-19 test at Drexel testing sites, receive test results, upload outside test results, upload vaccination information, or (for those who cannot get vaccinated for medical or religious reasons) apply for a vaccine exemption. Using the Drexel Health Checker allows us to respond quickly with contact tracing and help for anyone who tests positive for COVID, and to keep track of public health on campus so we can shape informed policies.

Visit the Drexel Health Checker
The Drexel Health Checker is the required platform to provide vaccination information and schedule/receive results of any COVID tests performed through Drexel. The web application uses a responsive design and will work on any desktop, tablet, or mobile device.
To access the new Drexel Health Checker, go to https://apps.med.drexel.edu/covidresource.
You will be required to log in using your Drexel ID via Drexel Connect.
To schedule a test through the Student Health Center, select the SCHEDULE A TEST card on the main index page. You will be redirected to schedule your test through Acuity.
Select your testing center location from the displayed choices and then a date and time from the provided calendar, and press Continue.
You will be prompted to fill out an informational questionnaire with your name, phone number, Drexel email, Drexel User ID, date of birth, reason for visit, any COVID symptoms or recent COVID diagnosis, and consent. Then select Complete Appointment Scheduling. You will see a confirmation page and will also receive an email confirmation.
If you report or receive a positive COVID test result using the Health Checker, an authorized representative from the University will contact you to assist with contact tracing, isolation or health care needs.

What to do if you feel sick
You will receive email notification when a new COVID test result is available.
To see your results, go to the Health Checker index page and select VIEW/UPLOAD RESULTS to be directed to the COVID Results page.
Under “Available Results,” you will see any new test results received through Drexel Medicine Diagnostic Labs for you, and any self-reported test results you have provided. If a printable PDF copy is needed, select the PDF icon.
To report an outside test result, on this same page, select the “+ Add Self Reported COVID Test Result” hyperlink. Using the drop-down and calendar fields, select the test information (type, source, date) and then select the date of the result and the type of result. You can also upload a copy of the test result stored as a file on your desktop or mobile device. Once the information is all filled in, select Save.
Community members should upload their proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Health Checker to be eligible for on-campus activities.
From the main index web page, select UPLOAD VACCINATION CARD.
You will be prompted to add or confirm your personal information; then select Save.
Select + Add Vaccination Record hyperlink.
Add vaccination information/documentation. Select the Vaccine Type and Manufacturer from the drop-down menus, enter Vaccine Injection Date on the calendar, and (if available) type in the Lot Number.
You will then be prompted to upload an image of your vaccination card. Select “Choose File,” locate the file on your desktop or mobile device, and then select “Open.”
You will be able to view or download the image you have uploaded to ensure it is correct and matches the information you provided.
You can repeat this process for multiple vaccinations. If you received a two-dose vaccine such as Moderna or Pfizer, you must record both doses to demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated in compliance with Drexel’s vaccination policy.
Some students and employees cannot be vaccinated against COVID for documented medical or religious reasons. In order to participate in on-campus activities without a COVID vaccination, you must apply for and receive a vaccine exemption from Drexel.
To do so, go to the Health Checker main index web page and select APPLY FOR EXEMPTION. You will be directed to the COVID-19 Vaccine Exemption form in REDCap.
Select the appropriate exemption form based on your primary role at Drexel.
Complete the REDCap Exemption Request survey (enter your Drexel email address and fill out the emailed survey). Drexel will notify you via email if your exemption has been granted.

Why did Drexel switch to a new version of the Health Checker?
The new Drexel Health Checker allows us to make more rapid updates and changes as our public health response continues to evolve.
What happens if I recently made an appointment or uploaded data through the Health Checker?
Your data has been securely transferred to the new Drexel Health Checker. You do not need to resubmit data or reschedule your appointment.
What happens to my data that was in the older version of the Drexel Health Checker?
Your data has been securely transferred to the new Drexel Health checker. Redundant data remaining in the older versions of Drexel Health Checker will be securely held during the transition period to the new Health Checker, and will be destroyed in January 2023. Data in the Drexel Health Checker is maintained securely and in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Is my information secure?
What information is collected and how is it used?
We will collect your name, date of birth, email address and phone number when you register for the Drexel Health Checker. You will also be asked to provide information about any COVID-19 symptoms, whether you have been in contact with probable or confirmed cases of COVID-19 and results of any COVID-19 testing you may have had. The information collected will be used by Drexel in the following ways:
- To help us learn more about the spread and impact of COVID-19 in the Drexel University community.
- To ensure vaccination among community members.
- To manage and respond to incidents of COVID-19 that occur among our students, faculty and staff, and help us offer the appropriate support resources to individuals with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 infection. These resources include testing, care treatment plans, and/or referrals.
- To comply with legal requirements of local, state and/or federal authorities.
Any other use or disclosure of Health Checker data will exclude names, email addresses, and phone numbers, as well as other personally identifiable information. This information will be used only for purposes of approved research. For those who signed up through the older app, all uses are listed in the legacy consent form, available here. The data portal is HIPAA certified.
Who has access to my data submitted via the Health Checker?
