Updates to Web*Financials

Drexel University Information Technology, the Comptroller’s Office, and Human Resources Information Systems have collaborated on some changes to improve the information provided in the Web*Financials applications.
The Financial Manager name display in Web*Finance, Web*Salary and Web*Telephone forms have been updated to be based on the financial manager of the org instead of the fund. This change is being made to eliminate the maintenance required on updating financial managers on over 5000+ funds. Since the org’s financial manager is used for time reporting approval purposes, this field is typically up-to-date and there is a far smaller population to maintain. If you notice that the financial manager is not accurate, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and provide the org number in which the financial manager displayed is not accurate, and the team will work with you to correct the issue.
Grant Summary Changes
For those who work with grants in the Web*Financial applications, we have added and edited some of the fields that display in the Grant Summary Page based on feedback received from the Research Administration Advisory Committee. These changes are as follows:
1. Added the name of the Principal Investigator;
2. Changed the Program Administrator and PA Phone fields to Research Accountant and Research Accountant Phone to reflect the current titles of the staff in Research Accounting Services;
3. Added the name of the Finance Manager, which is using the same logic as described above and based on the default org of the fund; and
4. Added the facilities and administrative (F&A) rate.
