The Office of the Comptroller’s Payroll and General Accounting Departments will be moving from their current locations at 3201 Arch Street on the University City Campus to the Bellet Building on the Center City Campus on Wednesday, December 20, 2017.  These offices will be joining their colleagues in Financial Reporting and Research Accounting Services who have already transitioned to the Bellet Building.

The new physical departmental addresses will be as follows:

During our move, the Payroll, General Accounting and Financial Reporting Offices will be closed, and we will be unable to provide immediate assistance from Wednesday, December 20, through Thursday, December 21.  We will respond to all requests for assistance once we are settled into our new office space.

After our move, all the following service requests will continue to be delivered remotely, minimizing the need and inconvenience of visiting our office in person.

  • Check Delivery – All paychecks are delivered by U.S. mail to your Employee Home Address from our secure offsite check printing facility.  Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the delivery of any check that is mailed to you.  You may view your Employee Home Address in DrexelOne to verify that it is correct and up to date.  If you need to change your Employee Home Address, please submit a request to Human Resources through AskDrexel under the Employment and Benefits - Address/Name Changes topic.
  • Direct Deposit Authorization – To avoid any delay in receiving your pay, we recommend that all employees who currently receive a paper paycheck sign up for direct deposit.  Direct deposit is the fast and convenient way to receive your pay on pay day without having to wait for your check to be received or clear the bank.  Direct Deposit Authorization forms should be submitted to the Payroll Department through AskDrexel under the Employment and Benefits – Direct Deposit topic.
  • Federal Income Tax Withholding (W-4) Updates – Employees may update their marital status and number of exemptions for federal income tax withholding online in DrexelOne, eliminating the need to print and submit a paper form to Payroll.  Please note: This option is not available for non-resident alien employees whose federal income tax withholding is fixed by IRS guidelines.
  • Payroll Resolution Forms – When necessary, supervisors should submit Payroll Resolution Forms to the Payroll Department through AskDrexel under the Administrative Services – Payroll – Payroll Resolution Form topic.

All Payroll Department forms, instructions for accessing information in DrexelOne, instructions for using AskDrexel and much more information is available on the Payroll Department website.

In addition to the services listed above, all employees may use AskDrexel to submit questions to the Payroll Department.  Answers to many frequently asked questions are available in AskDrexel, or employees may initiate a request for service on a wide range of topics that will be routed to the correct member of our staff for assistance.  AskDrexel provides a secure method of communicating confidential information to the Payroll Department and provides tracking of all communication for all requests.

Continue to send all questions or forms for General Accounting or Financial Reporting to genacct@drexel.edu.  We also encourage you to submit you journal entries using the Journal Entry Workflow

Of course, if you need to visit any of the departments that make up the Comptroller’s Office in person after our move, we will be happy to assist you.  The Drexel Bus Service Dragon Route stops at 15th and Race Streets right in front the Bellet Building.  You must bring your Drexel-issued ID card to access the building.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition.  We look forward to serving you from our new location.
