Jason Pfeil began his teaching career at Math, Science, and Technology Community Charter School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2000, where he taught high school mathematics for fifteen years before moving to his current position as a high school mathematics teacher at Methacton High School in Eagleville, Pennsylvania. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Penn State University, Masters in Secondary Education from Holy Family University, and most recently earned his Administrative Certificate from the University of Scranton. Jason taught 12 different math classes while at MaST, helped to start the Philadelphia Public Charter School Athletic Association in 2002, and was the first boys varsity basketball head coach at MaST, where he coached for eight years.  He currently lives in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania with his loving wife, Michelle, and his four-legged child, Shelby. In closing, Jason enjoys playing golf, going snow skiing, creating math videos, and following his beloved Penn State Nittany Lions football team.

Lara Patterson teaches English 3 Honors.  She grew up in Michigan and went to the University of Michigan, where she met my husband, and then moved to California.  She got a teaching certificate and Masters of Education from the University of California, Los Angeles.  She has always wanted to be a teacher since she was a young child and landed her first teaching job at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School in Southern California, where she has happily remained for twenty-four years.  She lives in San Pedro, a community within Los Angeles, and has three teenage sons.

DARRELL TEMPLIN

After Darrell Templin graduated from high school, he served four years in the U.S. Navy. Upon completion of his military service, he completed his B.A. in Foreign Language and Literature at Old Dominion University.  He earned his M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Averett University, and in the fall of this year, he will complete his Ed.S. in Teacher Leadership from Walden University. He has taught at Mathew Fontaine Maury High School in Norfolk, VA, Oscar Frommel Smith High School in Chesapeake, VA, (taught Spanish), and in the fall of this year, he will begin teaching at the Jefferson-Houston K-8 School in Alexandria, VA.

DONALD LITTLE

Donald Little teaches AP Psychology, 11th and 12th (Honors) Social Studies/History at Pennsbury High School where he has taught for fifteen years. It was there, at first year teacher induction, he met his beautiful wife, Shannon. He earned his M.ED from Gratz College in Melrose Park, PA.  Per Mr. Little, “teaching is my vocation and the rewards that the profession has provided me are immeasurable. I am proud to be an educator and I am honored to be a Harold W. Pote award recipient.” They have three lovely children: Donny, Claudia and Amelia.
