Evan Forman Featured in News about DietAlert and DietDASH

An interview with Evan Forman about his work developing the smartphone app DietAlert was published in the Philadelphia Inquirer on Sunday, September 18th. DietAlert uses sophisticated algorithms to learn over time when the user is most at risk to slip from a weight loss eating plan and provides a "risk alert" right at the moment of need, along with a tailored intervention designed to prevent the slip from occurring. Evan Forman and his NCI-funded project developing and testing a "brain training" program for healthy eating and weight loss were featured on CBS-3 News on Tuesday, September 20th. The program, called DietDASH, trains "inhibitory control" which is the capacity to stop oneself from indulging in a problematic behavior, in this case eating higher-calorie, sweet foods.
