Jonson Miller on "Engineers as Servant-Leaders of the Old South: The Southern Military Schools and the Foundation of the New South"

Jonson Miller is Associate Teaching Professor of Science, Technology, and Society at Drexel University. He reported on his project, “Engineers as Servant-Leaders of the Old South: The Southern Military Schools and the Foundation of the New South” for the Consortium for History of Science, Technology and Medicine where he was a research fellow for 2014-2015.

During his time as research fellow, Miller expanded his research from state and university archives in Virginia to include other military and engineering schools throughout the country, as well as other materials on antebellum engineering.
