June 3, 2015
Megan Murphy, a sixth-year student in Drexel's JD/PhD program, was awarded a grant from the American Academy of Forensic Psychology (AAFP) in support of her dissertation, entitled "Memory Accuracy and the Ability to Recall Psychological Distress Over Time." Megan's dissertation explores human ability to recall thoughts, feelings, and behaviors about a specific event after a time delay. She hopes this research will be an important first step in understanding offenders’ ability to accurately recall their own mental state at the time of an offense.
