May 19, 2014

Arthur M. Nezu, Ph.D., ABPP, Distinguished University Professor of Psychology, will provide the 2014 Commencement Address for the Graduate Programs of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) this coming August. PCOM offers doctoral programs in both clinical and school psychology, as well as several master’s degree programs in psychology, biomedical sciences, organizational leadership, and forensic medicine. In addition to being the commencement speaker, he will receive an honorary doctoral degree.

Dr. Nezu has also been invited to be a faculty member of the week-long 14th Annual Summer Institute on Randomized Behavioral Clinical Trials this July 2014. The institute is offered by the Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research of the National Institutes of Health. The main objective is to provide a thorough grounding in the conduct of randomized clinical trials (RCTs) to researchers and health professionals interested in developing competence in the planning, design, and execution of RCTs involving behavioral interventions. Approximately 200 applicants compete for 35 Fellow slots. Fellows include psychologists, nurses, physicians, nutritionists, psychiatrists, and other professionals to whom behavioral trials are relevant.
