Physics Graduate Wins Chambliss Astronomy Achievement Award

Christina Peters, DC candidate, was awarded one of the six Chambliss Astronomy Achievement Student Award at the 223rd meeting of the American Astronomical Society. The Astronomy Achievement Student Awards recognize exemplary research by undergraduate and graduate students who present at one of the poster sessions at the meetings of the AAS. Awardees are honored with a Chambliss medal. Nearly 450 student poster entered the competition.

Tina presented "Multidimensional Quasar Selection for Next Generation Surveys." Her Ph.D. thesis advisor Prof. Gordon Richards, co-authored this work.
