Announcing the 2012 Week of Writing

April 30, 2012

WoW 2012 LogoIt’s spring and that means it’s time for the annual Week of Writing (WoW), hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of English and Philosophy! Whether you’re a writer, a reader, or a spoken-word spectator, you’re bound to find something inspiring at this year’s festivities, which begin on May 21, 2012 in Behrakis Grand Hall. As always, the weeklong event features panel discussions, reading marathons and open mics. Panel highlights will include “How to Create the Next Great _______,” “Writing for Social Change,” “Social Media and the Representation of the Self,” “Spirits Writing,” and the “Philadelphia Writing Scene.” Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear faculty and student readings, sit in on a poetry slam, and participate in a speed-editing session with local writers and editors!
