Kamila Kuabara, BEES PhD Candidate, Drexel University
Macroecology and
Macroevolution of Avian Chewing Lice (Insecta: Psocodea: Phthiraptera),
Parasites of Neotropical Birds (Aves)
Kamila is currently a PhD Candidate at the
BEES department, in the Ornithology Lab. Kamila holds a
Master’s Degree in Sciences from University of São Paulo (Brazil), and a
Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade São Judas Tadeu
(Brazil). She participated on the SIBBr project (Brazilian Biodiversity
Information System) as a research technician, sorting, cataloguing, and
digitizing several different orders of insects at the Museum of Zoology of
University of São Paulo. Her research goals are biodiversity, taxonomy, and
systematics of feather lice, ectoparasites of birds, mainly from the
Neotropical region.
