Birding Nature Walk at Bartram’s Garden for City Nature Challenge

Friday, April 26, 2019

8:00 AM-11:00 AM

Jason Weckstein, PhD, associate professor of BEES and associate curator of ornithology, ANS, and Matthew Halley, PhD candidate, BEES, will lead a bird and nature walk at Bartram’s Garden as part of Philly’s City Nature Challenge a four-day bioblitz where cities around the world compete to see who can record the most wildlife.

They are inviting CoAS students to come join them for a few hours in the field to photograph and identify as many species as possible. While the walk will focus on birds, we will also photograph other wildlife and will upload images to iNaturalist. The walk will start at 8 a.m. at the Bartram’s Garden parking lot.
