Bio:

Jurij Volčič is an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at Drexel University since 2022. After undergraduate studies at the University of Ljubljana, he obtained his PhD from the University of Auckland in 2018. Afterwards, he held postdoctoral positions at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Texas A&M University and University of Copenhagen. His expertise lies in the intersection of noncommutative algebra, operator theory and analysis, with a view towards applications in optimization and quantum physics.
