Bio:
Leo Lampone is an industry senior analyst and modeler with over 40-years experience applying mathematical techniques to real-world problems in a variety of venues and assignments; his specialty areas include: mathematical and probabilistic modeling; statistical analysis and stochastic estimation theory; Bayesian (non-linear) filtering theory; operations research methods; mathematical optimization; simulation modeling; systems engineering processes; and design of engineering prototyping environments.
As a Drexel undergraduate, he was given the W. R. Coley Award as Outstanding Senior Physics Major, 1971; further, he has been teaching continuously at Drexel in an adjunct status since 1973; he won the 2002 L.S. Campbell Award for Excellence in Teaching, and was designated the S. J. Gwiazda Professor for 2004/2005.
