Bio:Jerry Steinberg is an Adjunct Professor in Physics since the Fall quarter of 2011. After receiving his PhD in Physics from Drexel University he worked at various commercial companies developing products mainly for the electronics industry. His work includes electronic materials for the hybrid microelectrics and components industry, high speed fiber optic receiver modules and surveillance systems for the US Navy. He is the inventor of LTCC (low temperature cofired ceramics) which is a very popular method for producing complex multilayer ceramic circuits. In his spare time he is an avid racquetball player and bicyclist, recently completing an unsupported cross-country ride in 35 days.
