A Smartphone Application for Patients Struggling with Binge Eating Spectrum Disorders - NOW RECRUITING
If you suffer from Binge Eating Disorder or Bulimia Nervosa and are interested in seeking treatment, Drexel University’s “iCAT+” Study: Outside the Therapy Office: Enhancing Integrative-Cognitive Affective Therapy with Ecological Momentary Interventions to Improve Treatment for Patients with Binge Eating Pathology is seeking volunteers to test a new smartphone app designed to enhance an evidence based outpatient therapy treatment for binge eating. The iCAT+ app provides patients with individually tailored, in-the-moment reminders to use the skills and tools they learn in therapy in their daily lives when they need them most. Study participants must be 18 or over, meet criteria for a primary diagnosis of binge eating disorder or bulimia nervosa, and own and iPhone 5 device or later version to be eligible to participate. Therapy sessions will take place at Drexel University and consists of 21 sessions over 5 months.
