Mona Elgohail Receives the Drexel Common Good Award and the Exceptional Graduate Student Award

Mona Elgohail, a clinical psychology PhD student mentored by Pamela Geller, PhD, was awarded the university-wide Drexel Common Good Award for her academic excellence and commitment to improving the world around her by making contributions to local, national and global communities through scholarship and civic engagement.

Elgohail was also awarded the 2019 Exceptional Graduate Student Award, a recognition from the Department of Psychology that honors outstanding students for their significant contributions and accomplishments in extraordinary academic research achievement, exceptional participation in departmental and university activities, and completion of innovative activities toward professional development in addition to the usual department requirements. She was described by Geller as one who is “poised to become an important leader and a powerful agent of meaningful change in our increasingly diverse world.”
