The Biomechanics of Achilles Tendinopathy in Runners
Research Objectives:
To identify biomechanical characteristics associated with the development of Achilles tendinopathy in runners.
What is involved:
You will perform a series of short runs in Drexel’s Gait Laboratory while wearing reflective markers that are used to track your movement. Your visit will last approximately 2 hours.
What is Eligible:
You must be male,
between
18 and
60
years old,
be either currently
injury free
, have a history of Achilles tendinopathy,
or have current
Achilles tendinopathy
, and have been running at least 10 miles a week
for a year or more
.
For Participating:
- You will receive $10.
- For qualifying and completing the entire study, you will receive an additional $40.
