Healthy Housing Means Healthy Aging

A Collaborative Pilot Study in the Promise Zone to Empower Older Adults to Understand and Seek Assistance or their Housing Needs through a Mobile Application

The purpose of this project is to develop a mobile application (app) that older adults can use in their homes to understand what repairs and improvements can be made to make it safer and a better place to live as one gets older. Once an older person uses the app to evaluate their home for safety, we will create tailored recommendations for home modifications and places to contact that could provide resources.

If you are interested and eligible, we will ask participants to come to a meeting (about 1.5 hours) at the West Philadelphia Dornsife Wellness HUB in Mantua and use the app in their home.
