Vicon Motion Capture System
The Vicon motion capture system is situated in the Gait Laboratory and is used for human movement research. In particular, the gait lab focuses on lower extremity biomechanics and overuse injury. The Vicon system is used to monitor movement of the lower extremities, pelvis, and trunk body segments to better understand the etiology of overuse injury. The system is synchronized to four AMTI force platforms and a PCB accelerometer.

Art Therapy Studio
The spacious art therapy and counseling studio is housed in the heart of the clinic. Sinks, counter space, locked storage cabinets and easy-to-clean tables, chairs, and floor provide the basic necessities for art works large and small in a variety of two- and three-dimensional mediums. To serve the emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical needs of our clientele ranging across the lifespan, the studio space provides controlled lighting, sounds machines, and two distinct work spaces. We offer a smaller room for art therapy and sand tray work to accommodate individuals, couples, siblings, and parent/guardian-child dyad work. A larger space and table is available to support groups and families up to ten individuals. Each section of the room has doors to close off to the rest of the clinic to ensure a safe, secure, and confidential creative working space.

Nursery for Baby Care
The nursery offers a comfortable area where mothers can feed and change their infants. The room can also be used by infant care givers while mothers are attending services at PHW. The room also is equipped with a camera where interactions between mother and infant can be video recorded. Personal infant supplies would either need to be provided by mothers or by the clinicians using the room, and any equipment used in the room would need to be cleaned (wiped down, laundered etc) before leaving in order to insure a healthy environment for all mothers and infants.
