Meet with a Drexel University Registered Dietitian to receive individualized one-on-one nutrition education sessions.

Who Is Eligible For Nutrition Counseling?
This program is available to all. Most major insurances are accepted. Have your physician complete a referral form.

When Will These Sessions Be Held?
Consultations will be available Monday through Thursday, with evening hours on Tuesday’s. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are all welcome to register.

What Can I Expect At My First Meeting With The RD?
The first meeting with the RD will begin with a complete nutrition and medical history including an assessment of body composition. A realistic plan will be created based on individualized goals and lifestyles.

Is Nutrition Counseling Only For Those Who Want To Lose Weight?
Not at all. Registered dietitians can help with any dietary concerns including management of chronic diseases, guidance navigating food allergies, sensitivities and intolerances, and strategies to improve athletic performance.

Where Will These Sessions Be Held?
Sessions will be conducted at our nutrition office located at Parkway Health and Wellness, 1601 Cherry Street, second floor, or at  the Drexel University Recreation Center, 3301 Market Street.

Weight Management for a Healthier U

The Center for Integrated Nutrition & Performance, in collaboration with Parkway Health and Wellness, is offering a unique four-week weight management program for that will utilize experts from our University community to teach you how to make healthy lifestyle choices for weight loss and management.  This program is open to everyone and free of charge. 

Our program will include:

Session 3: Physical Activity Guidelines

Session 4: Healthy Cooking: stealth health

Nutrition Essentials for Diabetes Management

The Center for Integrated Nutrition and Performance, in collaboration with Parkway Health and Wellness, is offering a diabetes class focusing on nutrition management for those with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Experts from our University with teach you how to make healthy lifestyle choices for the management of disease. The class will meet once a month for two hours.

Our program will include:

Carbohydrate counting

Management sick days

Glucose management and exercise

Dining out

Heart healthy information



Throughout the year, the Center for Integrated Nutrition & Performance (CINP) provides a number of presentations that aim to educate the Drexel Community about making healthier nutritional choices for optimal health. In addition, CINP conducts tabling events, such as the Nutrition Station, presenting interactive and useful information on such nutrition topics as healthy beverage choices, whole grain options, and lowering sodium intake. CINP fulfills its mission by collaborating with campus events to integrate nutrition education with the Drexel experience.

Nutrition & Stress - Feeling stressed? This workshop will help students to understand how food can positively and negatively impact their study habits and well-being.

Healthy Eating On a Budget - Wanting to have a well balanced diet is the first step, being able to afford it is another story. This presentation will help students understand how they can eat a well balanced diet without breaking the bank.

Healthy Eating Around and On Campus - Not sure where to eat? What to eat? With so many options it can be difficult to decipher which ones are the best for you. This workshop will provide students with an understanding of which restaurants and food trucks on campus have healthy options.

Restaurant Do's & Don'ts - Overwhelmed when you go out to eat? This workshop will help you to understand how to decode a menu for healthy options. After this workshop you will feel confident in how to stick to healthy eating while enjoying a night out with friends.
