September 27, 2019
During her time as faculty on a recent study abroad program, Kristine Mulhorn, PhD, a teaching professor and Health Administration Department chair, faciliated a faculty workshop addressing aging, technology and Japanese culture. This exchange program in collaboration with Westphal covered aging and the use of robots in caregiving.
Each year, Prof. Shushi Yoshinaga engages Drexel students in an exchange program with Tamagawa University where she customizes a intensive course abroad during the summer/fall intersession on topics linked to design and society. This year was the first time there was a close collaboration with CNHP in an effort to address aging in the country with the fastest growing aging population, and one where those 65 and older make up nearly 27 percent of the current population.
