Physical Therapy Student Melanie Carminati Receives APTA Honorable Mention

Melanie Carminati ’14, a doctoral candidate in the Physical Therapy Program, attended the American Physical Therapy Association’s Annual Conference and Exposition in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she received the Honorable Mention Award for the 2012-2013 Pittsburgh-Marquette Challenge. The Challenge is an annual fundraising effort coordinated and carried out by physical therapist and physical therapist assistant students across the country to support the Foundation for Physical Therapy’s mission. Carminati was recognized with the award for the student-run dance concert “We Dance for Research,” which she organized last July. She raised $1,700 for the Foundation for Physical Therapy.
