Students Kick Back and Relax at StudyPalooza
May 9, 2013
Students from the College of Nursing and Health Professions came out to StudyPalooza on March 15 to study, relax, eat, and get assistance with their classes. The event, which took place on the first floor of the New College Building, provided writing assistance, massages, extended library hours, craft activities, nutrition counseling, virtual yoga and meditation, and Zumba and Salsa lessons. CNHP adjunct faculty Mary Beth Kealy and Ruth Devereaux led yoga and a meditation workshop. The Center for Academic Success set up panels to discuss test taking strategies and the Counseling Center led a workshop on handling test anxiety.
“StudyPalooza was about providing a space for the health professions students to do group studying, relax, get some food, or ask for assistance with some of their classes,” said Phi Nguyen, Director of Student Affairs for Drexel’s Center City Campus. “About 100 students came that evening to take part.”
Mark your calendars for the next StudyPalooza, which will take place on June 7.
