Holt Receives Distinguished Alumnus Award April 1, 2013 Congratulations to Karyn Holt, PhD, an associate clinical professor in the Advanced Role MSN Department, who was recognized for her contributions to the nursing profession by the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) School of Nursing with their Distinguished Alumnus Award. On March 22, the UTMB School of Nursing Alumni Association Board of Directors presented her with the award at the School of Nursing Awards Presentation and Tea at the Moody Gardens Hotel in Galveston, Texas. After Holt presented some of the work she is doing at Drexel, Pamela Watson, Dean of the School of Nursing at UTMB, commented “Well, we will take the credit too, we taught you first!”
