Smith Co-Authors Article on Assessing Directors of Clinical Education Performance in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences February 28, 2013 Susan Smith, PhD, an associate professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences and Associate Dean for Research and Health Professions Education, co-authored an article titled “Director of Clinical Education Performance Assessment Surveys: 360-Degree Assessment of the Unique Roles and Responsibilities of this Position in Physical Therapy Education.” This article was selected as the recipient of the 2012 Stanford Award, which was “established to recognize authors of a manuscript containing the most influential educational ideas published in the Journal of PT Education.” The co-authors, including Kathleen M. Buccieri, Jennifer Rodriguez, Robert Robinson, Sean Gallivan, and Jody Frost, received the award at the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting in San Diego, California in January and were congratulated for “providing a stimulus for reflection and action by physical therapy educators.”
