Jean MacFadyen, PhD, an assistant clinical professor in the Advanced Role MSN Department, authored an article that was published on Nurse.com on May 4. “Nurse figure skater earns golds, health” is about how  Gina Shaughnessy, a staff nurse at the Crozer-Keystone Surgery Center at Brinton Lake in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, used ice skating to get back into shape after she had a baby. MacFadyen deems the nurse a role model for her patients because she “walks the talk” and encourages her patients to seek a lifelong commitment to wellness.
